The position is Pastry Baker at a bakery in Quebec. Responsible for preparing and measuring ingredients, baking pastry goods, and ensuring food quality. Assist in coordinating all cakes and pastries throughout the bakery, along with receiving, storing, issuing, preparing and presenting these food items. This position is under National Occupation Classification (NOC) B. Some of the responsibilities included:
• Determine recipes and ingredients used for cake decorating (frostings, fillings, sugar decorations, etc.)
• Produce daily production schedule for cake decorations (frostings, fillings, sugar decorations, etc.)
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Assist in menu planning and recipe development for the shop
• Uphold appropriate standards of quality and food safety
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or training certificate(s)
• Good English communication skills; (IELTS is not mandatory but preferred)
• Ability to lift to 30 pounds to carry baking tools and necessary movement of baking tools & equipment
• Previous work experience related to the position is an asset
• Must be willing to be relocated to Quebec
• Knowledge of baking Lebanese bread and pastries
This position is a full-time role with the required minimum of 40 hours per week schedule and salary ranging from an hourly of CAD$14-16.
